1st October, 2015

For all pay periods after 1 October 2015, the new National Minimum Wage takes effect. This is a legal requirement for employers and it may cause significant issues if the NMW is not applied across all age groups.
For your information the new minimum wage 2015 rates are as follows:
- Employees over 21 years old £6.70 per hour
- Employees 18 to 20 years old £5.30 per hour
- Employees 17 years and younger £3.87
- Apprentices aged 16 to 18 and 19-year olds in their first apprentice year £3.80
We will advise our clients if they have missed this note and are paying below the minimum requirement, if you need to discuss anything regarding the minimum wage and its implementation, please call us.
Directors of limited companies are exempt from The National Minimum Wage Regulations
